The Guide: Displaying Your Photos

When is the last time you purchased something special that was just a little bit extravagant? Wall galleries and custom albums are a wonderful treasure that will bring a smile to your face daily and tell your children,

Layered Wall of Love.

Layered galleries are custom designed to fit your space and session photos best. The photos are printed on a masonite hardboard and then laminated for durability and to resist little fingers. The prints are prepared for installation with foam backing of different depths to give a layered look.

Grid-style- Wall of Love.

Not everyone loves the sweet chaos of the layered galleries. For those of us more drawn to clean lines and tidy borders, grid galleries, either a series of squares or rectangles that are all the same size, or the Mixer, which uses long and short photos to create a pattern, is a perfect choice.

This beautiful wall of art spans a long hallway. Each set of six, nine, or twelve prints represents an annual session. It’s a photo album to enjoy every day.

The Mixer- Wall of Love.

The Mixer utilizes longer prints to mix up the look without getting too “out of alignment.” This small version (10x10s and 10x21s) fits perfectly in even the smallest space.

Creating your own Wall of Love:

If you think a Wall of Love is the perfect expression of your family’s crazy life, here are a few quick steps to take before you meet Anna for your order:

  1. Choose a space. It can be as grand as the focal wall in the great room or as intimate and cozy as the little wall between bedrooms in the hall.

  2. Take a photo of the space with your phone and send it to Anna. Try to stand as close to straight-on as you can. Feel free to send a few options.

  3. Do a quick measurement of your space, top to bottom, side to side, and note the placement of light switches or door frames.

  4. Sign into your gallery using a separate email (different from the email you used for your album favorites) and “favorite” anywhere from 10-30 favorite photos you think might work for your display. Anna can help you narrow it down to the ones that work best together and in your space.

  5. Sit back and let Anna create some magic for your walls. It’s a unique luxury you’ll smile about for years to come!
