My film work has been seen on Animal Planet, Good Morning America, Explore Minnesota and the USDA (can’t link, due to NDA).

I was hired to be the DP on a documentary series in 2019. The final film was chosen to premiere at SXSW film festival in Austin, TX. Sadly, that event was in March, 2020 and was cancelled. It still premiered, but online with very little promotion.

Fuyuki Shimazu, an artist who makes wallets out of dumped cardboard is so obsessed with American cardboards especially the ones he happened to find at the Tokyo market. It was a grapefruit carton boxes from Florida, but has no citrus picture on them, but dolphins, pelicans and even roses instead. Fuyuki wondered why they do not use grapefruit to show the consumer what is in the box. So, he made wallets out of those cardboards and decided to visit who made these boxes in Vero Beach, Florida. There he encounters people’s pride and touches their heart. This charming and heart-warming story of his journey is his unique answer to global warming.
